File Validate Utility

One of the user-facing utilities in Actionstep Legal Accounting is File Validate. Due to the number of resources that it uses and the number of data points it needs to touch, this should only be run at the end of the day. You do not want users trying to work in the database when this utility is being run as it will display incorrect data or data may be missing while the utility is running.


To do this:

  1. Go to Dashboard > File tab and click the Validate button.
    NOTE:  If the tab is not available, it's due to security settings. Please consult with your Admin.
  2. Click "Yes" on the prompt to have the system recalculate the balances.
  3. Wait for the completed pop-up to show.
  4. Click the Refresh button.
