This guide explains how to connect Legal Accounting to third-party systems, what setup method to use, and what to do if your integration isn’t listed.

Overview: Ways to Set Up Integrations

There are three supported methods to connect third-party systems to Legal Accounting:

  1. Legal Accounting UI (User Interface)

  2. LASU (Legal Accounting Service Utility)

  3. API

These integrations can be enabled directly within Legal Accounting:

  • Microsoft Office 365 (O365)

  • NetDocuments

  • LawPay

  • Confido Legal (formerly Gravity Legal)

  • LawToolBox

Integrations through LASU (Legal Accounting Service Utility)

LASU (formerly Soluno Remote) is a server-installed utility that allows Legal Accounting to connect with systems that can export data via CSV files. LASU must be installed on your server and requires assistance from our development team.

Common LASU Use Cases

  • Print & Expense Recovery Systems including but not limited to:
    • Copitrak
    • PaperCut
  • Time Management Systems including but not limited to:
    • Carpe Diem
    • Time Matters
  • Contact and case file data exportfor Document Management Systems
    • iManage
    • Worldox

LASU Setup Process

  1. Contact Support to confirm LASU compatibility

  2. Our team schedules installation with Development

  3. LASU is installed on your server

  4. CSV output from your third-party system is mapped into Legal Accounting

  5. Data sync is tested and confirmed

NOTE:  If your system exports CSV files but isn’t listed, LASU may still work — contact Support to confirm.

Integrations through API

If the system you wish to integrate with Legal Accounting is not supported via UI or LASU and can provide API access, integration through API is available to use. You can view available integrations under Integrations | Actionstep, filter by country (US or CAD) and set product to Legal Accounting.

Some supported and known API connections include but not limited to:

  • iManage (via MacroAgility)

  • Quintalink

  • CASEpeer

  • Filevine

If your system is listed:

  1. Log in to Legal Accounting

  2. Create the user for API as you would create a regular user.

  3. Contact Support to set the user for integration.

If your system is not listed:

  1. Complete the Legal Accounting API Request - Form by Asana

  2. Our team will review feasibility

  3. You’ll be contacted with next steps.

NOTE:  API integrations require technical validation and may involve development timelines.
