Activity Codes and Quantity Rate Calculation Feature
Q: I want to setup an amount to calculate printing costs that will auto populate when entering the expense.
A: Create an Activity Code and click on the “Use quantity rate calculation”.
If there is a preset unit amount that can be added in the “Fixed unit rate amount".
Make sure the “Use for Expense entries” button is set.
Press the “Save” button.
It will auto populate under "rate" when entering expenses.
***Note: form more detailed information please refer to the Soluno “Activity Codes” User Guide.
First: Make sure the Admin setting is turned on “Enable quantity x rate calculations”; Or
else the input fields will not be display on the “Expense” entry screen.
ADMIN -> FIRM -> SETTINGS -> FEATURES
Save all changes.
Second: Add the Activity Code.
ADMIN -> RATES/CODES -> ACTIVITY CODES TAB
Save all changes.
Third: Be sure to turn on the “rate” and “quantity” columns in the “Expense” tab.
Enter the Activity Code. The amount per unit will show in the “rate” column.
Enter the “quantity” amount by clicking in the column.
The total calculated amount will automatically display in the “amount” column.
