Report - Deposit Slip

Q:  A payment is on a deposit slip.  How do I find it?

Answer:  2 Options – Deposit Slip List and Custom Bank Register Report

 

Option 1:  Deposit Slip List

 

BANK ADMIN -> DEPOSIT SLIP tab

Click on “Previous” (#3 below)

Click on the “v” (chevron) icon to display the “Deposit Slip Options” screen.

 

 

From the “View” list choose “General” report.

Put in the dates, Bank Account or Reference and press the “Play” button at the bottom left.

 

Option 2:  Create a Custom Bank Registry Report

 

 ***Note:  for more detailed instructions please refer to the Modify Report Layouts Customize Reports.

 

REPORTS -> BANKING -> OPERATING tab (or TRUST tab)

 

 

Click on the "Manage Layouts" button at the bottom right of the screen.

 

Click on the "Copy" icon to the right of the "Register" report layout.  Edit the copy.

 

 

Click "Next" through the next few screens until the "Operating Bank Entries" screen is visible. 

Scroll down to the bottom of the list and click on the "_OPBANKREPORTDEPOSITSLIPNUI" button.

 

 

Click "Next" through the next few screens until a "Save" button is available.  Press "Save".

Press the "Close" button on the "Manage Layouts" small screen.

 

The Customized Report has been created.  Create a View for the Report.

Click on "Save View" at the bottom right of the screen.

 

 

A small screen will pop-up. 

Name the "View" a different name than the default name (example: registerslip). 

The Description will appear along the top of the Report. 

Choose the "Register Copy" as the Layout (from the dropdown list). 

Click on the button "Make the view public".  

Press the "OK" button.

 

Run the Report "registerslip".

 

There will now be a number under the date if the payment has a deposit slip.

Optional:

***Note:  this could have been done earlier but it is more detailed.

 

Tasks:

Give the Deposit Slip column a title.

Position the Deposit Slip Number on the first line.

 

Edit the copy of the register report again (Manage Reports, edit "Register Copy", click "Next", "Next" "Next" to the "Operating Bank Entries" screen.

 

Click in the "Title" column and type a short title, press tab, click in the "Row" column, and change the value to 1, press tab, click in the "Order" Column and change the value to 4.

 

It will then look like the screenshot below.

 

 

Click on the three horizontal dots “…” at the very right-hand side of the Deposit Slip field and change the value to 36.  Press “OK” after the change has been made.

 

Press the “Next" button until the "Save" is available. Press "Save".

 

Close the "Manage Reports" screen.

 

The Deposit Slip Information will now have a title and will be located on the top line.  The screenshot below has an example of how it could look with a title.
