Close Contacts Report or Conflict Search

Q:  If I close a “File” and a “Contact”, will the Contact name be available if I am attempting to open a new file for that particular Contact in the future?

Support: Closing a Contact is not necessary for most circumstances.   However, if a Contact is closed, you will need to run a Conflict Search or the report of Closed Contacts, to verify if that particular Contact was already known to the firm.  Note:  All closed Files and Contacts are always available using Conflict Search.

Q:  Then I will not close Contacts for this firm. We do have several repeat clients who may call one year later to open another file and I want to make sure their information is readily available.
