Unable to save entry
Error message: _MSG_TIMEENTRY_DATE_BEFORE_ALLOWED
Where: Data Entry icon -> Time/Fees tab.
Details: Trying to save a Time entry and is receiving this message.
Why: The date on the Time Entry is earlier than the setting in Admin -> Firm -> Settings -> Feature "Time/Fee entries allowed on or after" date.
Solution:
Either change the date of the Time Entry or contact your Admin to change the date in the Admin Settings "Time/Fee entries allowed on or after".
The date is usually not changed but, if the Firm wants to restrict Time/Fees entries to the accounting period, it can be changed.
To put a restriction on the Time/Fees date, the Admin can click in the entry box at the end of the line and update the date.
Press the "Save" button at the bottom left of the screen.
Note: The accounting entries date should not be changed manually as these dates are updated when the Fiscal end of year is closed, or certain GL periods are closed (Financials -> Close Period tab).
