Error message: Entry date is earlier than allowed (Time/Fees entry).

Time/Fee entries Error message: “Entry date is earlier than allowed” when trying to save time entries.  

Go to Admin -> Firm -> Settings -> Features and check the date beside “Time/Fee entries allowed on or after”.  

The date is usually not changed but, if the Firm wants to restrict Time/Fees entries to the Accounting period, it can be changed.

Put a restriction on the Time/Fees date by clicking in the entry box at the end of the line and updating the date.

Press the "Save" button at the bottom left of the screen.

Note: The accounting entries date should not be changed manually as these dates are updated when the Fiscal end of year or Accounting GL is closed (Financials -> Close Period tab).
