MAXIMUM NUMBER OF ITEMS TO SHOW IN HELP LISTS:
The “Maximum number of items to show in help lists”, is an option in the Profile -> Preferences settings that will affect the number of matches to display when searching in a dropdown list.
The default setting (if the number is 0 to 40), is set to a minimum and a maximum display of forty (40) items in the list. That means, “at least” 40 will show in the dropdown list when searching for a name, a number, or a report.
Example: you want to see all the files in “File Manager” that have the letters “ma” in the name, the number, or the description. Start to type the name and the dropdown list displays as you are typing.
That list will show according to the setting for “Maximum number of items to show in help lists”. The default (least) is "40", but it can be set increasingly up to “300” if the default is not enough.
