When Legal Accounting releases updates to its product, it also publishes release notes to explain some of the key features or updates that were included in the release.

Enhancements

We've updated the Actionstep Help Center! Enter keywords, get AI-powered answers alongside relevant articles. Chat with our secure AI Support assistant, Scout, 24/7. Create, submit, track tickets directly from the Help Center. Suggestions for articles appear as you create a Support ticket, which can allow you to access the info you need, potentially eliminating the need for the ticket submission. (Learn more)

 

 

Release 1.9.137 – April 20, 2026

  • Performance Improvement: Caching of common data to improve login/page load times (early results show 500% improvement for login and 30% of some page loads). Shared caching service for searching/filtering by Contacts/Files.

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed issue where saving a selected subset on the Time Entry screen still shows the saved entry leading to duplicates.
  • Related to the table in contact manager now gives a warning if a restricted file would be included (i.e., ethical walls)
  • Incorrect label for e-check/e-transfer shown on receipts.
  • Potential fix to stop multiple file downloads when doing an invoice one at a time.
  • Interest group now selects a default in File Manager if no group has been selected.
  • Fixed bug where multiple filters didn't work in TAF Trust Ledger report

  • Added new Relationship table in Contact manager that shows all Casefiles associated with that contact.  Primarily assists firms to see why a contact may not be able to be closed.
  • Show Introducing Lawyer Name as a token on bills.

Issues Fixed

  • Fixed issue where exported Report files did not show "Cont...." line after 10k entries, with current balance that interferes with math.
