Deleting an Entry from the Batch Cheque Print Queue

An entry waiting in the Batch Cheque Print Queue can be deleted from the queue itself. Once the cheque has been processed, it is no longer in the queue and must be deleted from the appropriate bank journal instead.

This article covers both cases.

If the Cheque is Still in the Queue

To do this:

  1. Navigate to the Bank Admin menu and then the Batch Cheque Print tab.
  2. Select the Bank Account the cheque was drawn on.
  3. Find the entry and click the Edit icon. The Operating Out data entry screen opens showing the original transaction.
  4. Click Delete at the bottom left of the screen.

If the Cheque Has Already Been Processed

To do this task:

  1. Navigate to the Reports menu, then select Banking and then the Operating Bank tab for an operating cheque, or the Trust Bank tab for a trust cheque.
  2. Select a bank journal view and set your parameters and run the report to find your transaction.
  3. Locate the transaction and delete it from the report with the Delete icon.

Caution: Deleting a processed cheque removes the transaction. If the cheque was physically printed and issued, void it instead so a record is retained.
